I thank God for this whole day. I feel like I have done a lot today. I had five deliveries to customers, I had one piano student, and I have a little boy to feed and look upon. Thank God for all the strength and providence. My husband Jo and I look to Jesus as our Supplier, and we never lack anything. By looking at our family income, we sometimes feel that we're going short. But God, in His perfect timing, provides miraculously. No joke!
Verse for tonight:
"Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith." - Galatians 3:7-9 NIV
Two saturdays ago, during our School of Leaders, Pastor VJ brought up the election of the Israelites. I know that they are the nation chosen by God to bring salvation to the Gentiles. But why do they have this special privilege of election/salvation? Is God being fair?
We, humans, cannot fathom the mysteries of God. This matter is not an issue at all for Him. It is His divine will. He chose it. So from this small nation comes the Savior who will bring salvation to all, including me. Then I can become a part of Israel. I can become a child of Abraham. I can inherit the blessing. And God is not unfair.
Thank you, Lord, for Your divine will to choose Israel as a blessing to all nations. And thank you for making a way to include me into the fold of the nation you have blessed. Thank You, because it is by faith that I can become Your child. In Jesus' name. Amen.
