Thank God for another day, for being able to wake up with my husband and baby beside me, and for being able to once more make happy moments with my family and to teach a child in playing the piano.
Today's verse:
"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." - Galatians 1:10
God is the Supreme Authority over everything, including people with high positions or high regard in the society. What people say is not equal to what God says in His word. So when we do or say something, let's ask first, "Am I pleasing God with this?"
When God blessed us with materials possessions, should we extravagantly throw a luxurious celebration with our friends, or should we instead celebrate simply and share our blessings to charity? Should we give in to popular pressure, knowing that it would rob our position in Christ, or stand for the justice and purity? Would we allow anyone to dictate our words, or speak up the truth for Christ?
I pray that in every way, we think, speak and act according to what Christ did for us more than 2000 years ago.
Lord, help me to be mature and strong. Let not the pressures of the world overtake me, but instead, control me. Let your Holy Spirit be my guide and guard. In Jesus' name. Amen.
