Blossom Joy Cacho-Nolasco
Music and Christian Educator
Blossom Joy G. Cacho-Nolasco is the third among the five children of Pastor Warlito Doral Cacho and Angelita Ganiban Cacho. She hails from Nueva Ecija and is proud to be called an Ilocana. As a PK (Pastor’s Kid) and a DK (Deaconess’ Kid), growing up in church gave her much aspiration for church music. Though not formally trained in music as a kid, she is forever grateful for the countless learning moments with her parents, siblings, and the pastors and deaconesses her family had worked with. Also, her professors from Harris Memorial College and the UP College of Music helped hone her skills as an educator and a musician.
She obtained her first degree at Harris Memorial College with Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education in 2002. In 2007, she decided to pursue the second thing she loves – music. At the University of the Philippines College of Music, for the first time, she was acquainted with the vast classical and new world of music. Her study was made more meaningful through the University of the Philippines-Church of the Risen Lord, where she was a recipient of the CRL Choir R.T. Paguio Scholarship. Her involvement in the choir gave her a wider perspective of church music. By the grace of God, she graduated last April 17, 2011 with the degree of Bachelor of Music in Music Education, cum laude.
She is happily married to Jonathan Nolasco and a proud mother to three beautiful children. They live in a love-filled home in Quezon City, Philippines.
Teacher Blossom is a proud member of the Piano Teachers' Guild of the Philippines Inc. (PTGP). She also co-authored the Music section of Living with MAPEH Grades 1, 2 and 6 published by Vibal Group, Inc.
